Cyber.org’s (formerly NICERC) has a full Science curriculum for Elementary teachers for grades 2-5. This curriculum follows the updated science standards and includes cyber resources aligned to the North Dakota computer science and cybersecurity standards. This is a phenomenon-based, hands-on science curriculum with technology ideas build into it. Teachers will gain experience in the course work and computer science and cybersecurity concepts for elementary age students to get your students Cyber Ready.
EduTech will host two occurrences of online workshops for Elementary teachers on Science Plus starting in October at no cost. Teachers will learn about the Science Plus Units, how to teach them, and how to create awareness of cyber issues for students.
Completion of one of these two-day workshops will provide elementary teachers the opportunity to add the Computer Science and Cybersecurity Level III Credential to their North Dakota Teaching certificate. This series of course work fulfills the 15 or more hours documented computer science or cybersecurity training approved by ND DPI.
The dates will all be online using Microsoft Teams.
Attendance for both days in a series is required.
