Career Description




This critical position is responsible for interpreting and carrying out administrative directions relating to the financial and business operations of Rough Rider Industries. This involves providing financial reporting and analysis to support operations and management to facilitate effective business decisions and maintain organizational integrity; build and maintain internal/external business relationships; and review and complete month-end close process. Position also works with the RRI accounting and manufacturing software in a cost accounting work environment to verify and reconcile general ledger account balances, performing monthly close of general ledger, and publishing financial statements. Analyze and maintain a cost accounting system to allocate accurate product costs, processing monthly payroll, assisting in the preparation of the budget and the statewide financial statements (CAFR) lead. Manage customer and vendor relationships; serve as liaison between information technology, users, and vendors, and collaborate with users to identify, define, prioritize, and document business requirements, opportunities, and/or problems for new development projects, business process redesign, current business application enhancement, or current business problem/issue resolution. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for information technology or other solutions and manage specification changes. This position also provides direct supervision to professional level team members.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting; or business or public administration with accounting coursework and two years of professional business management experience. Incumbents must possess professional accounting experience, to include in a supervisory capacity; excellent oral and written communication skills, to include interpersonal relation skills. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and have exceptional prioritization, time management, and organization skills. Preference will be given to applicants who possess knowledge or work-related experience in computer science, computer or management information systems, or project management.
